1.º Direito housing support: is it open, who can apply?

Families living in undignified housing who cannot afford adequate housing can get help under 1.º Direito, but they ask their municipality, not the State. The portal page shows no application dates.

Who can be helped

Families, to reach adequate housing; and entities that provide housing solutions: Autonomous Regions and municipalities, public bodies, the third sector, residents' associations, housing cooperatives and owners of properties in degraded areas

Aim

Support mainly the rehabilitation of buildings and renting, for people in undignified housing without means to pay for adequate housing

How to apply

Families ask their municipality, which assesses the request under its local housing strategy (ELH) and sends applications to IHRU; IHRU analyses them and signs a funding or cooperation agreement

Recovery-plan funding

Families must be listed as in undignified housing in the municipality's ELH; ask your municipality whether you are included
